My place of birth was in the border City of Calexico, California, I am the Son of Betty and Robert Evans. My father was a farmer that farmed approximately one hundred acres five miles south of the City of Seely, California. My Grandfathers were both farmers as well, Lee Walton my mothers father farmed nearly two hundred acres west of the New River. My father’s, father farmed the land what is known as the El Centro Naval Air Station.

My mother, sister and I relocated to the City of San Bernardino, California where I attended elementary school, Junior High School and graduated from Cajon High School. I was state champion 440-yard dash. I received and was awarded track scholarship from the University of California Polytechnic located in Pomona, California. During my first year at Cal Poly I earned All American for the 400 meters. After completing my firs year at Cal Poly Pomona, I dropped out of college and volunteered to serve in the United States Marine Corps. During my tour of duty, I participated in combat operations to recover the USS Mayaguez incident on Koh Tang Island, Cambodia. Another incident that was a great loss of life of numerous Marines was the helicopter crash that occurred on the Philippine Island of Mindoro. I participated in the recover of Marines that were some cases only body parts during recover of the Marines. That event has never left my memory that event and combat on Koh Tang, Island caused my PTSD.

After leaving the United States Marine Corps, I started a career in law enforcement with a Central California Sheriff Department for ten years. My duties included the apprehension, assisting in the persecution of individuals, participated with investigations of individuals, provided supervision of main correctional facility and other branch correctional facilities, prepared the criminal court docket on daily basis. Provided supervision of transportation of inmates throughout state of California and the nation.

After retiring from law enforcement, I relocated to the State of Washington I was employed by Yakima County Coalition for the Homeless. My duties include assisting homeless veterans with housing, alcohol, drug abuse, employment issues and assisted veteran’s with compensation benefits.

The Washington State Department of Transportation offered me a position and opportunity to provide contract compliance reviews for heavy highway contractors for federally funded projects for Eastern Washington. In the year of 2015 with help of Ryan Childers and Childers & Associates Law Firm of El Centro, California. The law Firm has provided assistance with the certification of Cyber Platform Solutions with the Federal Agency Small Business Administration and the State of California.
